Pure Slim Hoodia Patch
Slimming patches are receiving bad press at the moment – The difference between diet patches and diet pills is that the outrageous claims have been made by a huge majority of diet patch manufacturers with regard to the efficacy.
A diet patch is NOT more potent than a diet pill – it just uses a different delivery method. Because the patch is worn on the outside of the body and not ingested, marketers have had a field day due to lack of restriction when describing just how effective their products are.
Looking specifically at Pure Slim Hoodia Patch, yet again the cost of the product raises the question of purity and efficacy, a months supply of Hoodia patches will cost under £10 per month. So exactly how much weight can you expect to lose for 30p a day?
I discussed weight loss patches in more detail here, and even after looking more closely into the hoodia patches I can’t see that they are going to be as effective as ingesting a pure hoodia gordonii supplement.
In addition the FDA also states:
…only products that are intended for ingestion may be lawfully marketed as dietary supplements. Topical products and products intended to enter the body directly through the skin or mucosal tissues, such as transdermal or sublingual products, are not dietary supplements. For these products, both disease and structure/function claims may cause them to be new drugs.
and thus should be regulated and approved by the FDA, and yet are not.
