hoodia appetite suppressantSometimes just constantly suppressing your appetite is not enough to make you lose the weight you need to.

Many dieters experience what is called the plateau – this is where you are still keeping to your diet (eating less/more healthily) and yet you stop losing weight…

Sound familiar?

Sometimes taking a Powerful Hoodia appetite suppressant can only get you so far. Then you need a little advice from the experts.

There are a few reasons why dieters reach a weight loss plateau, the main one being that the human body is incredibly adaptable, and will do its very best to maintain an equilibrium. ie: when you eat less, your body just adapts to burn less energy – THAT is why you stop losing weight.

You’ve probably heard a lot about the metabolism being a very important factor when it comes to achieving weight loss. The higher your metabolism, the more calories you will burn and therefore the more weight you lose. Simple. But what happens when your metabolism drops?

Does Starvation Mode Exist

In a word, Nope.

appetite suppressionThe body can’t just suddenly decide to lower it’s metabolic rate, each individuals metabolic rate is determined by a number of biological and genetic factors before birth, the only way your metabolism changes is down to changes in the bodies homeostasis.

What people refer to as starvation mode, is actually a gradual loss of lean mass, this then in turn lowers the metabolic rate. A lower metabolic rate means less calories are needed each day, thus our energy expenditure eventually starts to match the low calorie diet! (You stop losing weight)

What you need to do is keep your metabolic rate up and your calorie intake lower, in order to maintain steady weight loss.

How Can You Raise Your Metabolism and Still Lose Weight

The obvious way to boost your metabolism is to do more exercise. However there is another proven method to boost your metabolism whilst still losing weight – the Zig-Zag method.

This has proven highly effective for many dieters as well as professional body builders. (The experts!)

Simply put, the zig-zag method is :

… 3 days of eating less calories (below the average recommended), then a day of normal food intake.

This scientifically proven technique stops virtually any loss of lean muscle and therefore keeps the metabolism from slowing. If you keep your body guessing, then you will be able to get out of your weight loss plateau and continue losing weight.

So don’t worry if you’re Hoodia appetite suppressant has ‘stopped working’ – It hasn’t, you just need a day of eating more or exercising less and you’ll soon be back on your way to achieving your weight loss goals.

WOW! I never knew that about the metabolism. I lost a stone in about 2 months when I first started taking my hoodia pills and was very pleased, then it stopped, now I know why! I’ve put a bit of weight back on since I stopped taking them but I’m going to give this zig zag thing a try. Thanks.
